Slept most of the day, no energy to do anything but I made some food a few hours ago.

Nothing amazing, two double cheese burgers with burger relish, pickled gherkins on the side, with ‘potato pops’ topped with some burger relish and chopped pepperoni.

Cheese well melted on the top, nice.

I’m hungry again now so have some Dutch Kapsalon on order, 30 minutes, I hope.

Yum. I stayed light. I made some egg and ham sandwiches for me and the wife. Then I had some homemade blueberry scones that I’d coated with a simple icing. They go great with a cappuccino.

I like a good ham and egg sandwich, with a little salad cream, nom.

For me it has to be plain scones, clotted cream and straw berry jam.

My girls requested the blueberries. I added the icing to give a little bit of sweetness when there’s no time to sit down and put butter and jam on them.  I went back and forth on that.

This is true. My recipe calls for cream, but I find using plain yoghurt works better.

Also, I have a dinosaur sandwich cutter, so I made dinoscones.

As your on the kids menu, can I tempt you with dessert. Half a chocolate Easter egg, filled with ice cream, topped with choc olate cream, strawberry syrup, chocolate buttons and crispy chocolate eggs?

yes they are... but over here somehow the flakes are smaller (i think they have it pre shredded here)

Ye’, the salad idea was a curious thing, but then the Germans have something similar without the salad and cheese.

The name doesn’t seem odd, until as you did, translate it.

Kapsalon = barbershop - hairdressers. Very odd.

The shawarma, doner and gyros are all Turkish (though some argue the Greeks had something to do with it, and some argue they have arabic origins before the Turks and Greeks.

Hi mate. I'm good. The big emotional/stressful day is tomorrow. I have a no idea how I'll be or how mum's family will behave, it needs to go smoothly because my sister's wedding is a few weeks after and I can see if some don't behave and we have words exchanged, there may be some no show's or dis-invited to the wedding. Roll on Wednesday. Lol.

I only eat like that two-three times a week yes. I’m literally a sandwich here and there or something.

I've never had a set routine, I've worked nights for 16 years and never found a balance or routine like others, who've had life or family commitments. Having a mum that highly medicated she never had a sleep routine, and my step-father has had mental and physical issues, it could easily be, everything is fine, I doze off, then get awoken half an hour later because they want me to find a telephone number they want to call later or the next day. Lol.

I have found it. The Kaspsalon was created in Rotterdam at a Turkish kebab shop called Shoarma El -Aviva at Schiedamseweg 22a . The first kapsalon was a vegetarian dish with the barbershop next door always ordering chips, shawarma and cheese with salad on the side, one day they put the salad on top and that apparently is how the Kapsalon y ou know and love came about.
